Future of the city centre - 4th symposium, Brazil

Details of the provisional programme for the final symposium being held in Joao Pessao, Brazil were announced today. Being held on 5-6 March, the meeting is exploring how this eastern most city in northern Brail is responding to pressures and challenges on the downtown area. It will bring together city leaders and planners, local community representatives and academics from across the world to consider the ‘future of the city centre’. The project is funded by the AHRC, and is being led by Dr Robert Rogerson at the Institute along with Prof Bob Giddings at Northumbria University, UK.
